A variety of adaptive sports, recreation, and fitness activities will be available to trial.
A community resource fair will be available filled with local businesses and organizations that support the disability community.
Prairieland Adaptive and Bradley University's Doctor of Physical Therapy program are so excited to host the first-ever Adapt & Conquer Expo! This email contains all of the details regarding the Adapt and Conquer Expo coming up this Saturday, 9/27/2025.
General Information:
Doors open at 10:30 AM.
Resource Fair 10:30 – 2:30
Activity Fair 11:30 – 3:30
You may pre-register for the event if you haven't already HERE (https://forms.gle/rYFsYhMKSWhPqFVi7) or you will need to register upon arrival. Everyone coming into the event will need to register.
Everyone attending the expo must complete waivers upon check in prior to participating at the event. For those participating in para climbing, there will be additional waivers at that activity that will need to be completed.
Directions and Parking, along with a map, are below.
Snacks and water will be provided free of charge. Please bring your own accommodations if you have any specific dietary needs. Only water will be allowed on the activity and resource fair floors to protect the gymnasium floors.
T-shirts will be available to purchase for $15. Cash and card will be accepted.
We are unable to provide any personal care, so please be sure to bring any caregiver or assistance that you may need for this.
Directions to the Markin Family Student Recreation Center (812 Clarissa Court, Peoria, IL 61606):
Take the exit for University Street from I-74.
Turn southbound onto University Street toward Bradley University.
Continue about 1 mile to W Bradley Avenue (go past Main Street).
Turn right (west) onto W Bradley Avenue.
The Markin Family Student Recreation Center will be on your right (north side of road).
Accessible Drop Off/Pick up is available outside of Markin Family Student Recreation Center off of N Tobias LN (east side) and N Clarissa Ct (west side) entrances.
Tobias Lane will be open starting at 10:15 AM
Clarissa Ct will be open starting at 10:45 AM (closed until 10:45 due to road race)
There will be event signage to help provide direction as you arrive at Bradley University’s campus.
Parking Options:
Recommended: Please park at the Main Street Parking Deck (913 N Maplewood Ave #911, Peoria, IL 61606) – 7’ 10” Clearance
Take the exit for University Street from I-74.
Turn southbound onto University Street toward Bradley University.
Continue about 1 mile to Main Street.
Turn right (west) onto Main Street.
Turn left (south) onto N Maplewood Ave/AJ Robertson Ct
The Main Street Parking Deck will be on your right
Once parked, follow event signage to Markin Family Student Recreation Center (there is a sidewalk that will take you south from the parking garage to Markin).
Other Parking Options:
We will have some accessible parking available at the entrance of Markin Family Student Recreation Center off of N Tobias Lane (east side of Markin)
There is a gravel parking lot off of N Clarissa Ct (west side of Markin)
Parking is freely available off of W Bradley Ave as well. Please abide by street signs for where parking is available.
We have so many incredible businesses/organizations that will be at the Community Resource Fair, along with a number of groups that are providing the activities for the Activity Fair.
