It is our number one priority to keep all participants safe. Everyone involved in this organization is responsible for this.
Prairieland Adaptive is partnered with U.S. Center for SafeSport and Move United. These organizations implement effective strategies to help protect participants from abuse and misconduct. Prairieland Adaptive is committed to creating and sustaining an environment that is safe and welcoming to all individuals whom we serve. To hold ourselves to this commitment, we have established safety policies, available to the public, that are linked below.
As we develop more formalized programming (i.e. sports teams), individuals with regular contact with participants will be required to be trained in athlete abuse and misconduct prevention that our partner, the U.S. Center for SafeSport, offers. These individuals include directors, staff, and volunteers. Our team will routinely participate in refresher trainings as required by our sports policy to make sure they can recognize and respond accordingly to signs of participant abuse and/or misconduct. Participants may also be required to complete SafeSport training as well.
Additional information can be found at U.S. Center for SafeSport website regarding these trainings. Thank you for contributing to a safe environment to support our participants in our programming.
